Costumes
Costume Director: Ms. Lenka Radecky
Lenka Radecky, born in Baden bei Zürich, Switzerland, began her artistic career after receiving her Swiss business degree (1996/97), as a costume assistant at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich.
At the beginning of the 1997/98 season, she was put in charge of the properties production studio at the same theatre. She has been working as a freelance costume designer since the summer of 1999. In 2001, she was put in charge of the costume studio for the Tyrol Festival, and since then, she has developed the costumes for all of the productions of the Tyrol Festival.
During her time at the State Opera in Munich, she worked on productions by Claire Mitchell (Anna Bolena), Wolfgang Gussmann (Idomeneo), Gottfried Pilz (Schlachthof 5, Sub.), Anthony McDonald (Ariadne auf Naxos), Chloè Obolensky (Venus und Adonis, Sub.), Jürgen Rose (Die Verkaufte Braut, Figaro, Kameliendame), Herbert Wernicke (Elektra), Reinhard Heinrich (Macbeth), Buki Shiff (Poppea), Andrea Schmitt-Futterer (Was ihr wollt, Sub.).
Her Own Productions Include: Mo-zart? Moz-art?, Die sieben Todsünden, Gershwin why not? at the Kurtheater Baden, Switzerland , Another waste land with the Suriel Dance Theatre at Theater Claque in Baden/Schweiz, Rusalka at the Landestheater Detmold, La Cenerentola at the Saarländ State Theatre in Saarbrücken, Corpo e Anima at the Königsfeld Arts Festival, Switzerland with the Swiss Chamber Ballet, Wiener Blut at the 1st Frankfurter Springtime Operetta. Starting in the 1999/2000 season, she began work with Marianne Glittenberg and Eva Dessecker at the Zurich Opera House, where she worked on the operas, Lulu, Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria, Idomeneo, and Die tote Stadt.
Additional projects include: Königin von Saba, August 2004 at the Königsfeld Arts Festival/Swiss Chamber ballet, November 2004 the Ballet Mov(i)mento at the Landestheater Linz, Die Fledermaus and Capriccio at the Teatro Comunale Bozen in Winter 2004/2005 and in Spring 2005 Guntram at the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania.
A close working relation ship developed with the Choreographer Jörg Mannes. As a result Lenka Radecky did the designs for Romeo and Juliet in Linz in the 2005/2006 season and will do a Moliere Ballet as well at the Hannover State Theatre, in addition to a ballet evening at the Bavarian State Opera inspired by William Shakespeare's Tempest.
