The Director
Rolf Parton was born on September 12, 1944 in Vienna. He had a humanistic schooling. He studied at the acting school of the former Horak Conservatory, know today as the Schubert Conservatory.
His initiation into the theatre was as an actor and director at the Aktionstheater and the Cafe Theatre Vienna, now known as the Ensemble Theatre. First Direction at the Aktionstheatre: Orpheus wird kein Konsument by Heinz Rudolf Unger.
1969: First contract at a professional theatre at the Heidelberg City Theatre. Head Director: Hans Neuenfels.
1970: Engagement at the Theater am Neumarkt under the direction of Horst Zankl. Additional engagements in Basel, Bern, Chur, and Begrenz, both as an actor and as a director.
Worked as an actor under the following directors: Hans Neufels, Jürgen Flimm, Kosta Spice, Bruno Hübner, Peter Schweiger, Herwig Seeböck, Rudolf Kautek, et al.
For twenty years he has been living as a freelance author and director in Tyrol where he heads the children's theatre, "Die Kiste".
